Cosmetic surgery is a common procedure with many positive outcomes for patients. However, it can also lead to serious complications. Sometimes, patients don't know all the risks. This can cause great stress. Because the procedure is inherently risky, there are always inherent risks. These risks may be higher than others.
Vicarious experience
Vicarious trauma can occur when a person experiences traumatic events through the experiences of a loved one. The experience can lead to Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, and can be treated with professional help. People can share their feelings and concerns with family and friends. It may be difficult for people to share their feelings, but they should not take a loved one's reactions personally. They should continue with their normal lives and keep in touch with family and friends.
Self-rated attractiveness
Recent research examined the relationship between self-rated physical attractiveness, and psychological well-being in adolescents. Participants were asked questions about their own physical attractiveness as well as self-reported levels self-harming and suicidal ideation. The results found that male adolescents rated themselves as more attractive than their female counterparts. However, in girls, self-rated beauty was negatively associated to internalized distress. These associations were statistically significant in girls only and only in relation to self-harmed behavior and suicidal ideation.
Religiousness
A new study found that religion has a significant impact on whether people are open to cosmetic surgery. Researchers found that people who are more religious than others were less likely to undergo cosmetic surgery. It is still unclear if there is a relationship between religion and the risks of cosmetic surgery.
Household income
The study found that there is a correlation between household incomes and the risk of cosmetic surgery. The findings suggest that people with higher household incomes are more likely undergo cosmetic surgery than those on lower incomes. To assess SES, the researchers used the Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics' measure of household gross income. It is widely accepted as a method to evaluate SES. This method has been shown in the past to reveal health disparities among socioeconomic groups.
Liquid silicone facial injections

Infections

They are most commonly caused by Staphylococci and streptococci. Non-tuberculous Mycobacteria (NTMs), however, have been reported. These infections can be difficult for standard gram staining to detect and are resistant to many antibacterial drugs.
